Kraft It Up Challenge.

This is a new one for me. I loved the look of this one and have left it until the last minute to get it finished. Usually I wouldn't go for these colours which is why I like challenges you try new things all the time. This is what they required:
This month is an inspiration challenge, below is the image that you need to take your inspiration from and create a layout using Kraft or Kraft Patterned Paper as your base.

You could take inspiration from the colours, the cupcakes themselves, the number of photos you use on your layout could represent how many cupcakes there are, the flowers and so forth...

Aren't these the cutest cupcakes. I have placed 2 photos on as the lighting isn't that good at this time of night. Here is my creation:
Here is some close up shots of the beautiful rose ribbon I brought yesterday and the stencilling I did.
 Bye for now Kerry.

Well it's P.P. turn. Unfortunately I was away for the last sale and had no computer. So here I am using some of my stash. Sam's buttons etc. are great and sooo popular that you have to get in quick. Here is the sketch for this month:
It is a great sketch and I love my finished result, here it is:

I have taken heaps of photos of my page and this is the best one, the colour didn't stand out too well. Isn't it cute? This is my son at his Yr12 talent quest his friend {minnie mouse } and himself {mickey mouse} opened and closed the whole production. They had a ball it was a great night.

Here is one of PP doily's and I used a lollipop flower at the other corner and of course the twine. This was such a fun page to do. That's it for now. Bye Kerry

Get Picky Challenge.

This challenge is sponsored by a favourite of mine Purple Pumpkin. I have been dyeing to use my fish button from PP so this was a great chance to give it a go. Here is the sketch:
Here is my version:
This is us at Easter time last year at Ocean Grove, we had such a great time. I love the colours of this page which all came together around my fish button and not the fish we didn't catch. Bye for now Kerry.

White with 1 Challenge.

I quite enjoy the challenge of finding the right embellishments to fit the page, most times I think I have nothing in that colour and I go digging and soon I come up with something. This is the challenge this month:

you must have  2 or more handmade embellishments

and at least 5 of these
#some ribbon
#ric rac
#lace
#ink
#paint
#pearls
#bling
# buttons
#brads
#chipboard
#kiny glitz
#stitching (machine faux or hand stitched)
#rubons
you can use all of these if you like

Here's my page:
I don't think the colours have photographed real well and I have taken heaps and this is the best. It is unusal to have a photo of myself so here it is with my neice Chelsie who is now 10, she was adorable and  she has turned into lovely girl.  I don't know why this photo flips itself the other way, anyway this was the first time I had made these scrunched up flowers which I love.

I'm off to Juene's Craft retreat {www.juenesretreat.com } this weekend and can't wait, hopefully I will get heaps done. Last time I think I got over 40 pages done and lots of laughter as well. Must go until next time Kerry.

My neice Chelsie!

This weekend I had my neice and nephew stay over which was great fun. My neice Chelsie loves crafty things. I was surprised at how talented she is, her mother doesn't enjoy craft and she does it on her own most times. Here is Chelsie and some of her work:
This one I am entering over at Scraphappy Kat's Friday Night Challenge. I loved the inked flower she did with my inks { they are shaped like petals }, which I had never thought to do using them.
Here is another one that she did of herself:
I love the chook she made all by herself and the horse on the side. These are her favourite things what she has at home. I didn't realise she even has the chook  singing which I didn't know until I took a close up.
Well that's it for Chelsie's talents, we also baked and visited cousins etc etc. A weekend isn't long enough. Until next time Chelsie. xx

Black With Two Challenge.

I really LOVE this page. These are the requirements:
DOMINANT BLACK CARDSTOCK BASE ONLY
WITH WHITE ..
AND STRIPES ..YOUR STRIPES MUST BE IN BLACK AND WHITE ALSO .
Here is my page:
This is the welcome and thankyou photo we got from our neighbour after we gave them a present for their new little one. The black and white is so striking and suited this photo { even though the photo is dark brown and blue, which is what I was orginally going to use }. The big brackets are chipboard, the photo corners, feet and title are all cut from my cricut, which I couldn't do with out. I also stamped over the title. Off I go now to link it to their blog. Bye Kerry.

Friday Night Challenge!

Here I am with this weeks FNC from Scraphappy Kats. This was a fairly quick and easy challenge this week for me. Quick? Well didn't take too much thinking until the end, it just needed something and once I put the journalling on it came together. Here is the sketch and there was no other requirement just go for it, so here it is:
This is my daughters boyfriend at Christmas time. I wonder if Kathie will notice it isn't red and black ha ha although I do like this combo. Well here is the finished work of art:
Until the next entry. Bye Kerry.

SCRAP LIFT

This is the page you are to Scrap Lift
( it's one of my all time favourites)
I had never heard of scrap lifting before, so I just gave it a go and this is what I came up with:
I LOVE this page of my sons birthday. Kathie pointed out I have been using alot of black and red lately. I just pick a colour from the photo, which happens to be my sons red shirt and run with it.  Ok until next time bye. Kerry.
