Yippee Our Blog Hop Is Here!

Welcome
to
Scrapbookit’s October Blog Hop

Thanks for joining Me, Scrapbookit and our Design Team on our inspirational blog hop  to share this month’s challenge, so lets get hopping.
Firstly we have the Layout challenge set by {Me} Kerry I hope you can create a layout using Patterned Paper as your background but have lots of negative space, ( scrapping in around only  ¼ of your page), to use ribbon, and to have hidden journaling.
Here is my example:

I was given the gorgeous pack from Echo Park called For The Record 2 by Lori Whitlock.

The paper on this LO was brighter but I wanted to tone it down a bit, so my photo would stand out a little more, I have gone over it roughly with Tim Holtz distress ink - Picket fence. This is a white ink which gives a translucent effect. I'm very happy with using it.
My hidden journaling is up the top of the little sign Made With Love, the label notes and a little flower on top to help you pull it out and read it. I pleated some black ribbon on the bottom.

Secondly the card challenge which was set by Janene is to create a card which has wings as your feature, (be it birds, butterflies, or angels, etc.)
Here is my example of what I came up with:

I have used left overs from my pack of Echo Park papers. Some of the sheets of papers you could use as a whole or cut them up and that is what I have down here. I thought if I cut up the 50 and pop it onto the card I could use it next year as a lot of my friends are turning 50. Underneath the 50 it had pins as in sewing, which I covered with a ticket cut out and an owl sticker. The tape was also cut from the paper. The theme of the paper really was sewing and this proves you can use it for anything.

One lucky person will go into the draw to win a RAK from me and here it is:

Now all you have to do is leave a comment, follow Scrapbookit and my blog, and answer the Blog Hop Question on every members blog below. Now HOP back over to the Scrapbookit Blog and write your answers in our comments section. (Comments will be hidden)

My Question for the Blog Hop is: Does Scrapbookit sell Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the colour of Fired Brick?

You could be in the running for some wonderful RAK’s from the team and if you enter the challenges you could win a Prize Pack (valued at $ 40) for your Layout, or a Card Pack (valued at $20).

So what are you waiting for? Follow the Hop over to
