Friday NIght Challenge!

Hi guys it is that time once again for FNC over at Scraphappykat Here are the requirements for this weeks challenge:
 Tonight we are doing a Colour Challenge
You can do a LO or a Card or if you are feeling really creative you can do a LO and a Card

These are the Colours you are to use

you may use Black for your Title and journaling (you don't have to journal)
I have created a simple LO this week as I saw a similar one around and liked the simplicity of it and thought it worked well with these crisp clean colours. I have stuck to pale green, blue on a crisp white background with a hint of purple and here it is:
The colours haven't photographed that well. I took the photo's in the shade, in direct sunlight etc and this is the best of the bunch. I am still happy with the end result and now I have to go and finish my other page.
That's it for now. Bye Kerry.

Purple Pumpkin Challenge.

Hi everyone just a quick post before I'm off to badminton, hopefully to warm up.
Here is the sketch for this month over at Purple Pumpkin:
I thought I would tackle another one of my sons school photo's. I have enlarged this photo so it is a bit grainy but I'm happy with the page and I'm sure he will like it too. Here it is:

 I made a stencil from my cricut machine and stencilled the alphabet letters on the  background. I also love the tickets on my LO. I'm looking forward to Purple Pumpkins sale tomorrow night.

I usually create a double LO as I'm going and here it is:
Well that is it for now I must go.
Bye Kerry.

Scrap Sanity Challenge.

This is a new challenge site for me which I have come across over at Face book, go have a look here: Scrap Sanity
The challenge for this month is a scrap lift and here is the LO you have to scrap lift:

Isn't it a beautiful LO. So I gave it a go and I don't know if I have done it justice, but had fun trying and I like what I have achieved. So here it is:
I cut my frame from my cricut machine which is just beautiful. This is a photo of my Mum and my niece at my daughters 21st.
I usually create a double LO so I can use more photo's and here it is:
I have journaled and I have just realised I haven't put a title on the page. I think I might not need one anyway as it is just more of the family.
Well that is it for today, bye for now.
Kerry.

Kraft It Up Challenge.

I haven't participated in a challenge over at kraft it up for a little while now, so this month I did. I first read the requirements and knew straight away which photo I was going to use and when I went to get a print of the photo they had a sale on the larger size, so I ran with that.
First here are the requirements:
MAY CHALLENGE

Easter has been and gone, so this month I want you to interview your child/children/partner about what Easter means to them...

Here is my LO and you will know straight away why I chose this photo:

How cute is she, this is my nephews little girl Giselle. I also loved the colours of red, green and pink.
If you can read down at the left hand side I wrote I love chocolate [doesn't everyone].

I usually create double LO's and here it is even though It isn't about Easter it was a couple of days before and another gorgeous baby Lela. I was sent this photo by text for my birthday. It didn't print too well, but I needed to scrap it as I loved receiving the message.

Here is my LO's together:

Well that is it for today. Bye for now.

Friday Night Challenge.

I'm running early with my FNC over at scraphappykat. Amazing when you have a quieter weekend { well night time anyway } what you can get done.
Here are the requirements for FNC:
Challenge #20
Tonight I want you to do a "BRIGHT" LO
You are to use
#paint
#buttons
# hand make some embellishments
# have 2 photo's on your page
I had this bright green patterned paper  from Pink Paislee that I didn't know what I was going do with it. Once I started I think the green isn't so bright now. Here it is:
 I have made a flower from yellow card stock and put a button for the centre. I punched the flower then cut in strips, dampened and curled it. I quite like the effect and will try it again.
These photo's are once again from my daughter's 21st last year. I'm starting to get through quite a few of them now.
As usual I have come up with two LO's and here it is:
The blog won't let me continue writing below so I will say bye for now. Kerry.

My Design Team Post.

Good morning everyone my new post for my Design Team LO is up at the Scrapbookit blog
Here's a sneak peak.
Come over and have a look and why not try our challenge which runs until the 14th of June.
Bye for now. Kerry.

Sketches With A Twist

I have decided to give a new challenge blog a go and here it is over at sketches with a twist
I was blog hopping and came across it and they have some very talented people on their DT. Here is the sketch for the month of May:
 I have stuck fairly close to the sketch this time and I'm still happy with what have come up with. I have been using butterfly's a bit lately so I'm over them for now. Here is my creation:
I hope you like my LO. The black comes across as a little faded in this shot, but I love black, white and a splash of red.
That's it for now. Bye Kerry.

Friday Night Challenge.

It is a week already since last FNC over at Scraphappykat it seems to roll around fast, I still enjoy every moment of them though. I almost thought about giving this week a miss as I have had such long and busy days delivering flowers for my daughter's work over Mother's Day. Then I thought today I would give it a go as I had to wait around for the plumber, even though he came early I was on a roll.
An easy one this week:
 Tonight's Challenge is a Freebie
Yep you can scrap in any Style you like the only rule is you must
have 3 photos of different sizes on your page
This is my creation for this week:
  As usual I have done a double LO and here it:
The black looks a little faded on these shots, but I love black, white and red. That's it for now back to the drawing board as I have a couple more LO on the go at the moment and I'm looking forward to finishing them.
Bye for now Kerry.

Friday Night Challenge.

Here we are once again a FNC over at Scraphappykat's
Tonight's challenge is a scraplift by Lexie, here is her lovely LO:

  I love the colours and the simplistic style. Here is what I came up with:
I wasn't planning on using butterfly's too, but they were already printed on my paper so I just ran with it. The paper looks a bit red but it is actually a deep pink. I love the doily that I cut from my Cricut machine. As usual I completed a double LO and here it is:
I didn't have two pieces of the first paper so I have combined another one with it. I stamped, inked, doodled etc to make the two work together. I think they work well .

                                                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't get around to submitting last weeks as I was busy doing things for my husband and missed out. So I am going to put it up now.
Last weeks requirements were:
Tonight we are doing a Recipe Challenge
Ingredients are
1piece of cardstock
1 or 2 photo's
scraps of Patterned Paper
Paint
Fabric
Buttons
Ribbon and or Ric Rac
Lace
Stitching (machine, hand or faux)
I found it a lot to pop on one page but once I got started off I went. I have only taken a photo of my double LO and here it is:
I have machine stitched around the edges, sewn on buttons, used metallic paint around the photo etc etc. It is all there. I have been waiting for a clear day to take photo's of my LO's but it is near impossible lately.
Well that's it for today. Bye Kerry.
It's Offical!
Well everybody it's official  I am now on the Design Team over at Black with 2 Black with 2 was on a short break and now they are up and running again.This is a great challenge blog where all your challenges are created on black card stock and you use two other colours.
I usually think I have nothing to use and I go rummaging through my stash and it is amazing what I can find and sometimes a little paint or ink is required and the end results are amazing.
So come on over and have a look and join in.
