SUYS April Challenge.

I haven't had a chance to play along for a while at SUYS so enjoyed jumping at the chance over the Easter weekend.

The challenge is to simply take inspiration from the following cake image,
and to include a handmade item on your page!!
How cool is this cake!!

Here is what I have created:

This is of my lovely niece Chelsie at my daughters wedding.
The purple cardstock was too bright so I applied gesso over top.
I loved the colours and circles which I used a metallic type paint.
My handmade goodies are from Charms Creation, flair button from Flutterby Designs and a lovely flower from Burdy's Embellies.

A little close up of the goodies.

I usually create a double LO and like to pop it up here for my family and friends to see.
So here goes:

If your visiting please become a follower of mine and I hope to be back again soon.
Bye for now.

Scrapbookit's April Challenge.

Just a quick one to show you my entry into this months challenge over at Scrapbookit.
Here is the sketch for this month:

and these are the added extras:
(1) Two different paint colours/glimmer mist; (2) Use a serviette or tissue paper; (3) A stamped image.

Here is what I have come up with:

I loved doing this LO. I have stuck my tissue paper and netting down with mod podge, stamped over it in patches, used my stencil and spritzed with 2 different glimmer mists.

I usually like to create a double LO and like to pop it up here for family and friends to see so here it is:

That's it for now.
Bye.
Kerry.

SWAT April challenge.

I have finally been able to do this months sketch at Sketches With A Twist
It has been a while and I enjoyed every minute of it.
This is the sketch for this month:

and
the twist is
ZIGZAG

Here is what I have created:

Instead of the scolloped shape around the edge I have used a Polaroid shape instead.
This photo was taken at our daughters wedding and this is my side of the family.
Here are a couple of other shots from my LO:

I loved this colour ric rac and would have liked to have used more but that is all I had.
I nearly always create a double LO every time and like to pop it up here for family and friends to see, so here it is:

That is it for today, until next time.
Bye.

Black With Two April Challenge.

Welcome to April here at BW2.
Last month just flew by and we had heaps of entries in the challenge.
Please come and have a go this month.
Here is the mood board for April:

Here is what I have come up with:

This is a photo taken at my daughters wedding last year.
I cut out the round wreath and covered it with the bridesmaid fabric,
which I like the frayed edges.
I also made my own flowers, which I haven't tried this style before.
I think the LO is simple but I love it.
I usually always create a double LO and here it is:

That's it for today.
Now come and try our challenge this month.
Next month will be my last Design Team post as I'm finishing up,
 so pop back next month.
Until then bye.
Kerry.
